Little Clusters
This month in Little Clusters we have been celebrating the Olympics! We have been practicing our ball skills, throwing and catching and kicking the balls, and having races around the running track in the big garden. The children also enjoyed creating Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals to wear!
We have also talked a lot about Summer, making colourful ice creams for our classroom art wall, observing the wildlife around us, and developing our understanding of the world. The children have been especially excited to watch over the pigeon nest that we have in the tree in our garden; we created our own birds nest and decorated these with shredded paper, painting and gluing.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed the colour monsters the last few weeks, identifying different emotions, reading the story and using the coloured teddies as props: happiness (yellow), anger (red), calm (green), love (pink), sad (blue), and fear (black).
