Little Clusters
This week in Little Clusters we have enjoyed exploring lots of arts and craft activities, using paints, stamps and pencils. We have been doing lots of winter crafts to help the children with their understanding of the world and the different seasons through the year. We have been focusing on our colour recognition skills, talking to each other about the different colours we are using to create our art work. We have also used a lot of construction toys too, building towers and aeroplanes using stickle bricks and Duplo blocks, encouraging imagination and also the children’s ability to work as a team too, building towers together and making different sculptures out of the blocks. We have also spent a lot of time outside in the garden, working on our gross motor skills using the stepping stones and wobbly bridge to work on balancing, riding around on the scuttle bugs and Little Tikes cars, and having running races with our friends! We have also enjoyed exploring the ice by trying to help the frozen animals escape the ice! We talked about the cold feeling and how the ice melts.
