This month in Little Twinkles, we have welcomed some new children into the room, building on making positive relationships. All the children have enjoyed the sand pit outside, learning to use tools and scoop, building on our hand eye coordination and fine motor skills whilst also starting to learn to take turns. We have enjoyed splashing around in the water tray with water animals, using our senses and exploring temperatures in the warm weather with cold water. In the room we have been exploring playdough and engaging in hand and foot painting, learning to be creative and about mark making with adult support and verbal encouragement. We have been exploring and enabling the children to develop their independence during their play and when eating, learning to feed themselves. We have celebrated VE day and Pyjamarama day giving the children an insight into understanding the world and the people around us, also helping to develop our social skills.
