Super Stars
This month in Super Stars, we have been preparing lots for our school transition! From reading stories and talking about their transition to joining in with the different activities, such as writing their own names and putting the letters in order of the alphabet to support our literacy skills! The children have loved creating their own lunchbox, cutting out and glueing the healthy foods on their own. We have been talking about healthy eating and what kind of food is healthy for them and what is unhealthy. They were all so good at this, supporting their recognition and familiarisation of different food. We have been joining in with lots of different cutting activities, such as designing our own pizza and an under the sea cutting activity. The children used their precise cutting skills going around the edge of the lines and helping one another – this supported their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Super Stars have really enjoyed show and tell every Wednesday and always talk about what they are going to bring in next week, as well as our circle time activities! This has really helped with their confidence and built on their communication and language.
We are all so proud of them and it has been a pleasure to see them grow into such amazing children, being there for all their milestones and seeing them develop into kind, funny and crazy individuals! We are sad to say goodbye to our little super stars and we wish them the best of luck in their next adventure at school!
