Little Clusters

This month in Little Clusters we have been making the most of the lovely sunshine! We have been having fun playing in the sand working on scooping and pouring, we’ve also added water to sculpt creations such as towers and houses. At the back of the garden, we have been searching for creepy crawlies and found lots of slugs and spiders! One of our favourite books in the room currently is all about minibeasts so we’ve been trying to spot as many as we can. One of our recent creative activities has been gluing and painting ladybirds! As it has been getting warmer, we have had the water play out to clean the toys, ‘paint’ the walls and clean the cars. Inside, we have loved having the car track out and building a little village on our small world table. Our other activities have included chocolate playdough to build on our gross and fine motor skills. To work on our coordination, we have done lots of threading with reels and mark making using crayons, paint, and coloured pens. Also, we have worked on our coordination, gross motor and listening skills with music and movement sessions. We have also continued doing our mindfulness circle times before lunch, relaxing to wavey lights and calm music whilst doing light exercises and breath control.
