Little Stars

We have been very busy this month in Little Stars. We have done lots of creative activities, such as painting poppies for Remembrance day, decorating different winter items to create our ‘winter bunting’, printing to make fireworks, and gluing paper strips to make a colourful heart. These activities help us develop our communication and language skills, colour recognition, our understanding of the world, fine motor skills, and our listening and attention skills. We have also spent lots of time playing outside, developing our gross motor skills by climbing over the bridge, going up the steps and down the slide, and using our imagination by pretending to mow the grass with our new lawn mower. This week we also got to explore the snow! We had lots of fun making footsteps in the crunchy snow and feeling the texture, developing our understanding of the world and encouraging our sensory exploration (feeling the cold, squashing it in our hands, and listening to the crunch of our footsteps).
