Little Stars Update…

We have had a busy month looking at different celebrations, including Children in Need!

We have used plastic straws and paint to create fireworks for Bonfire Night; this developed colour recognition, hand-eye coordination, and creativity skills. We also had a Bonfire night disco, where we used sensory scarves to move to music and played along with our own instruments.

To celebrate Remembrance Day the children enjoyed exploring the rice ‘poppy’, talking about the colours, and practising scooping and pouring. The children also did many poppy crafts; using their hands to create poppies and apple printing (the children had so much fun and liked exploring the paint). For Children in Need the children enjoyed many activities, including exploring the Pudsey rice tuff tray with spoons and cups; this developed pouring and scooping, colour recognition with the pom poms, and turn taking.

We also decorated a Pudsey bear using paint dabbers and used our creative skills to paint the Pudsey bear body parts then stick him all back together.
