Little Clusters
What a very busy month we have had in Little Clusters, from new activities outside to our Valentine’s Day celebration! We have been working a lot on understanding different types of weather, and what a mix of weather that we have had! We’ve loved running around in the rain, throwing leaves in the wind, and watching ice sparkle through the sunshine! Outside, we’ve been working very hard on our mud kitchen. We have been cooking up all sorts of wonderous muddy food including mud cakes and mud cups of tea! We built a Forest School base camp, pretending to be explorers and finding all sorts of creepy crawlies! Inside, we have been very messy with painting, from colour mixing to redecorating our paper mache terrains. The children have also loved playing with our new crinkle and wavy scissors! On Valentine’s Day, we played with playdough (making hearts), we built a very pink love train, and had a sensory tuff tray with different textured pink objects like pipe cleaners, crepe paper, crunchy cellophane and much more. We have had a little re-shuffle with our home corner as a lot of our children are enjoying playing cafés and shopping. We have also enjoyed meditation time and plenty of singing and dancing!
