Over the past few weeks, Super Stars have been preparing and practising for our graduation ceremonies that took place last week. The children showed lots of self-confidence and sang their graduation song beautifully. It was a lovely send off and end to the summer term. This week we have been harvesting our vegetables that we started to grow a few months ago. The children have really enjoyed digging for potatoes and pulling the carrots up. We have even grown a few sunflowers and pumpkins as well, the children have been so excited to see what the plants have grown into. This reinforces changes, i.e. seeds turning into plants, and develops their understanding of the world. We have also made the most of the nice weather, spending lots of time playing outside; we had a beach party with lots of water play and practised moving in a variety of ways on the big wooden apparatus, developing our gross motor skills.
