Shining Stars

Over the past month, Shining Stars have started to do Forest School again. For a few this has been their first time, so we have eased back in by learning our Forest School weather song and the rules we must follow when doing Forest School. We have learnt how to build different dens made out of grass and sticks for the animals, and grown in confidence as we have learnt how to climb and explore the different surroundings, such as climbing in the giant spider’s web and digging big holes in the mud, all of which have developed our gross motor, sensory, and exploration skills. Now the season has changed, we have got stuck into some Autumnal art activities, such as leaf printing (talking about the season change and what happens to the leaves), making our own Halloween witches, and creating our own pumpkins and autumn trees. All of these activities have developed our expressive arts milestones, using different art media such as painting, gluing, and using scissors. We have also welcomed some new friends up from Little Clusters who have all done so well settling in and adapting to the new routines.
