Little Clusters Update

This month in Little Clusters we have been enjoying spending time in the garden searching for bugs and climbing on the soft play to help develop our gross motor skills! We have also been doing sensory play, including splashing in the water play with the boats and sea animals in bubbles.

Inside, we have been having fun playing in our Café learning about all the different types of food and drinks and learning about the real world. We have been doing lots of work on our fine motor skills and colour recognition by making a summer board with lots of artwork, including butterflies and trees.

We also enjoyed building dens with any resources the children could find, developing turn taking and sharing skills.

The children have loved our sports sessions this month, developing their Super Hero skills, doing big jumps, and bouncing, throwing, and catching footballs.

We have been spending a lot of time this month looking at understanding our emotions with the colour monsters, connecting the coloured teddy to the emotions, and how it makes you feel.

We also celebrated the King’s coronation by making artwork and enjoying a tea party.

We finished this week with a visit from the Red Arrows over the top of the nursery.
