Super Stars

Over the past few weeks in Super Stars, we have been focusing on developing our independence and free choice. We have been learning about healthy eating, and have been sticking and gluing to make our own fruit and vegetables, developing our fine motor skills. We have also been learning we have a choice of sweet treats too, such as pancakes. We celebrated Pancake Day on Tuesday doing lots of activities where the children could make and get involved in creating their own pancakes, choosing what toppings they wanted. On Wednesday we developed our independence and baked some cupcakes, allowing the children to measure, pour, and mix the mixture ready for them to decorate how they wanted. We have also loved being outside, making the most of the spring sunshine and doing lots of activities to develop our gross motor and teamwork skills. These have included a pancake race, mini golf, and throwing hoops over cones, all of which encouraged us to cheer on our friends and develop our resilience. Thursday was World Book Day, so we had a day devoted to reading and stories; the children listened to interactive traditional tales where they got to act out the story and dressed up throughout the day as their favourite story characters.
