Little Stars

This month in Little Stars we have been getting very creative making lots of artwork. We have been using our fine motor skills to hold the paint dabbers, sponges, and paint brushes to paint our winter penguins and our love hearts. This helps to develop our hand eye coordination as we paint our pictures and helps with colour recognition. We have been wrapping up warm and have been out exploring the garden. We even taken a trip to the big garden where we loved running around and walking through the tunnel. This helps develop our gross motor skills and builds on our self-confidence. Little Stars have enjoyed having our ‘Keep to the Beat’ sessions with Naomi and have loved exploring new sounds and making lots of noise. The babies have enjoyed reading lots of stories, especially the ‘Colour Monster’ where we talked about feeling sad, happy, angry, calm etc., and even held the little monster soft toys, starting to introduce emotional language.
