This month in Super Stars, we have been busy doing lots of Christmas crafts! The children have been getting into the festive season by using their creative skills to make decorations for the Christmas tree competition, and we have also been preparing our Christmas bags and filling them up with our Christmas activities! We have made our 2025 calendars of all the different seasons – making handprints to make a picture of each season (Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn). We have painted some gingerbread men and decorated them using different coloured pom poms and shredded paper to create patterns, supporting our fine motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination. We have also made some snowmen and have been using our great cutting skills to cut out the shapes and stick them onto their paper! We have also had a variety of different tuff tray ideas where the children got stuck into the activities and really enjoyed each day! These have consisted of exploring the texture of snow and making a snowman in the tuff tray using different art materials to build the snowman, we have had a winter wonderland and played with the small world people using our imagination, we have had a playdough activity making different shapes and used cookie cutters to make some festive cookies for our friends! Buddy the Elf has made an appearance this month causing some mischief in the Super Stars room; the children have been coming in every day excited to spot the Elf and look for him in the room!
